About Nudge
Nudge is an iPhone app that helps you use your apps on purpose. It keeps the apps you pick locked, lets you in when you choose to go in, and makes the habit of going back in a little harder each time.
Why it exists
Hard blockers tend to work for a few weeks. Then they get annoying, you find the way around them, and you delete the app. The problem was never that people need zero Instagram. It's that "check one message" turns into forty minutes of Reels.
So Nudge doesn't build a wall. It builds a bouncer: you can always get in, but you have to decide to, and it notices when you keep coming back.
Who makes it
Nudge is built by Evan Berger, a product designer in Los Angeles. He designed at Meta (on Messenger) and at Quibi, and he teaches breathwork at The Breath Works. The breathing pause in Nudge's waiting room comes from that practice.

The company behind Nudge is BERG LLC. Nudge has no ads. It makes money from an optional subscription, so you're the customer, not the product.
Which Nudge is this?
A lot of apps are called Nudge. This one is:
Nudge: Focus & App Blocker, an iPhone app by BERG LLC. Website: nudgefocus.co. App Store.
It is not any of these, and we're not connected to them:
- "Nudge Focus," a Mac app at nudgefocus.app
- "Nudge: Focus & Block Apps" (heynudge.co)
- "Nudge+" by Compass Group
- Nudge the neurotechnology company (nudge.com)
- "Nudge," the open-source Mac update tool used by IT teams
