What's free and what's Pro
Short answer
Timer Mode is free and it's a full app blocker: lock apps and websites, unlock with a timer, and they re-lock when time is up. Nudge Pro adds the friction that makes it stick: waiting rooms, Task Mode, schedules, check-ins and custom block screens.
| Feature | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Lock apps and websites | Yes | Yes |
| Emergency Pass (unblock everything until midnight, once a week) | Yes | Yes |
| "Back already?" pause when you reopen an app right away | Yes | Replaced by waiting rooms |
| Unlock with a timer, re-lock when time is up | Yes | Yes |
| No ads | Yes | Yes |
| Waiting rooms (Medium, Hard, Custom) | No (Easy only) | Yes |
| Schedules and check-ins | No | Yes |
| Custom block screens and per-app settings | No | Yes |
| Task Mode (AI notices when you drift) | No | Yes: 8 hours a month on monthly and yearly plans, 2 a week on weekly |
Which should you pick?
Stay on the free plan if you mostly need a lock on two or three apps. If you find yourself tapping straight through the unlock every time, that's what Pro is for: the waiting room adds a growing pause, and Task Mode keeps the visit on track.
